 Finally the possibility to check from outside, in the easiest way, the consumption’s level of the anode put in the boiler comes true.

The application of the magnesium anodes in the field of the cathodic protection of the metallic structures used for the production of hot water is now universal recognized as an essential normative to guarantee an efficient protection from corrosive attacks of electrochemical origin.
But, if from one side there is no doubt any more on the necessity to install the anode, on the other side , as there is no possibility do define in advance with certainty the duration because of the lack of reliable data on which to base oneself and especially for the heterogeneity of the conditions on the use, it has become necessary by the manufacturers to prescribe their customers periodical checks of the anode aimed to their replacement in useful time .
In order to make this possible, the customer had to ask, periodically, and with great rise of costs, the intervention of technicians who had inevitably to empty the entire system in order to take out the anode. With Simpletest these economical difficulties are overcome because the customer finds himself in the condition to go on by himself with the control of his anode with a simple test, acting on the valve which is equipped on the support of the anode.
 The above-mentioned valve is directly communicating with the core of the anode which is provided of an internal cavity. When the magnesium around the core is completely consumed , the water inside the boiler has the chance to pass through the core and reach the valve from which it can be discharged from the external with a simple opening operation.
It is, in this way clear, that if in case of control, it should come out from the valve only one drop of water and, as for sure the only reason of this, is the complete consumption of the anode, it must go on as soon as possible with its substitution in order to avoid damages to the appliance due to an interruption of the protection.
The boiler equipped with a Simpletest Anode is therefore , from a corrosive point of view, protected in eternal with the minimum effort. It is not something of no importance , the possibility that it gives to provide a safe assemblage by means of an effective electric connection without any risk to place between the part of the boiler and the anode contact resistances that could compromise the functioning. This happens thanks to a thimble already predicted in phase of production in accordance to the German Normative DIN 4753/6.
It will be care of the manufacturer to prescribe the conditions concerning the controls and highlight them as well for the use instructions as for the appliance.
The Simpletest Anode is equipped with the right expedients in order to guarantee the perfect tin capacity and therefore it is not well advised any type of opening at the moment of its installation. The possibilities of supplies regards anodes with diameter 22 – 26 – 32 – 40 and 66 mm that will be equipped respectively with plugs of ¾” – 1” – 1”1/4 – 1”1/2 and 2”1/2 G.
